James Reese, Founder of TigerSwan: Responding to a Crisis
Intelligence
gathering is an essential component of both crisis prevention and crisis
response, explains TigerSwan founder and CEO, James Reese. In fact, knowing
what is being said about you often allows you to catch a negative “trend” that,
if unchecked, turns into a crisis.
Likewise,
explains James Reese, leading TigerSwan executive, monitoring feedback from all
stakeholders during a crisis allows you to accurately adapt your strategy and
tactics.
Both
require monitoring systems be established in advance. For traditional and
social media, Google Alerts are the no-cost favorite, but there are also free
social media tracking apps available. In fact, there a variety of paid
monitoring services that provide not only monitoring, but also the ability to
report results in a number of formats. Monitoring other stakeholders means
training personnel who have front-line contact with stakeholders (e.g.,
customer service) to report to decision makers on your crisis communication
team.

James Reese, TigerSwan Chairman: A Closer Look at SDVOSBs
James Reese enjoyed a lengthy, successful and decorated career
in the US Special Forces – having served for more than 25 years in the coveted
“Delta Force” before retiring as Lt. Colonel in 2007. It wasn’t long after
retirement that Reese started TigerSwan, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small
Business (SDVOSB) that provides global risk management solutions to clients
around the globe.
As James Reese knows, the SDVOSB designation first went into
effect after the passage of The Veterans Benefits, Health Care, and Information
Technology Act of 2006. Once enacted, the law gave the Department of Veterans
Affairs the power to procure contracts with a variety of sub-groups of small
businesses throughout the country. Notably, SDVOSBs were given the most
prominence in that small business hierarchy.
SDVOSBs are defined as companies with “at least 51 percent
direct, unconditional ownership by a military veteran.” The current federal
government goal is to award 3 percent of all federal contracts to SDVOSBs.

TigerSwan: Defining Boundaries and Saving Lives
With the support of TigerSwan’s Global Security Operations
Center (GSOC), the GuardianAngel visual analytics platform can provide you and
your operation the risk mitigation and emergency response capabilities you need
to enhance safety and security from start to finish. This includes the
definition of geofencing boundaries – those that trigger an immediate response
once an important physical asset of personnel deviates from a pre-established route
or enters an area with a high level of danger.
TigerSwan’s GSOC Analysts work to define the geofencing you need
to keep your critical assets safe – as well as to respond to potential
emergency situations quickly and definitively in order to mitigate such risks
in real time. Geofencing not only notifies your team when a deviation or
dangerous area entry has occurred, but also allows you to connect with your
personnel in order to respond and manage the problem before it gets worse.
Visit the TigerSwan
website today to learn more about GuardianAngel, geofencing and how their
team can ensure the safety and security of your next mission.

operations, including human rights risk management and quality of service,”
which was followed by a thorough review of TigerSwan’s activities in the field.
